Community Members Raise Funds for Entrepreneur of the Year from YBTB

 The Youth Business Trust Belize (YBTB) is very grateful that the Belize Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) in collaboration with the Belize Trade & Investment Development Services (BELTRAIDE), and the Ministry of Labour pledged that the proceeds of the Employer of the Year Awards Ceremony held on April 23rd, 2010 in Belize City be given to the winner of the “Young Entrepreneur of the Year”. 

 We are pleased to announce that the Awards Ceremony yielded a profit of $2,000.00, which was presented June 2, 2010 on the Business Perspective Show that airs on Love FM/TV.

 Ms. Kaila Morales received this year’s “Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award” for her entrepreneurial venture, which is a Belizean Jig Saw Puzzle business, the first of its kind here in Belize. In addition to the $2,000.00 cash award, Ms. Morales also received a development concession for goods that she may need to import from BELTRAIDE. In addition, upon approval of her business plan she has the opportunity to receive a reduced interest rate loan from the Development Finance Corporation to assist with start-up capital.

 The Youth Business Trust Belize is excited to be partnered with such groups that give much needed support and would like to thank all those who made this event an amazing success, including all those who purchased tickets and supported Ms. Kaila Morales to help her start her innovative business.
